What makes olive oil Extra Virgin Olive Oil?
Olive Oils earn the superior title of Extra Virgin when a number of requirements are met. Extra Virgin Olive oil: is never produced with any type of chemical treatment; is created by only using olives; contains no more than 0.8% free acidity; contains no defects and must be guarded from harsh lights; must remain at temperatures that will not change the oil, specifically under 86 degrees Fahrenheit and has to be cold-pressed during production; must pass a sensory test that confirms its fruity content and flavor.
Can I fry food with olive oil?
Absolutely! In fact frying your favorite foods in extra virgin olive oil is a healthy alternative versus other frying fluids! The smoke point for our extra virgin olive oil is a high 400 degrees Fahrenheit, giving chefs plenty of room to fry their favorite foods in our tasty oils.

How do I convert recipes to feature olive oil instead of butter?
